Dr. Jonathan Hiller attended the conference  "Tuscan Territories: Rural-Urban Dynamics" held at the Monash University Prato Centre in Prato, Italy on June 19-20.  Dr. Hiller presented the paper on three operatic depictions of the city of Florence entitled "Firenze, da lontano ci parve il paradiso: Tuscany and National Mythmaking in Donizetti, Leoncavallo and Puccini".
