Italian Program:

Dr. Jonathan Hiller  presented  at the conference entitled "Tuscan Territories: Rural-Urban Dynamics" held at the Monash University Prato Centre in Prato, Italy on June 19-20.  He presented a paper on three operatic depictions of the city of Florence entitled "Firenze, da lontano ci parve il paradiso: Tuscany and National
Mythmaking in Donizetti, Leoncavallo and Puccini".
