Dr/ Amador's papers, 2019

Dr. Amador will be attending the following Conferences:

1.   Her paper, “Exploration of the Self: Angelina Beloff and Frida Kahlo” was accepted at the XXIII Congreso Internacional de Literatura y Estudios Hispánicos (Santiago, Chile, March 6-8, 2019). 

2. Her paper “The Body as a Marker: Cristina Garcia and Judith Ortiz Cofer” has been accepted by the Feministas Unidas panel at Northeast Modern Languages Association in 2019 in Washington, D.C.

Survey of Hispanic Lit./Dr. Aponte's Class. La vida en sueño by Calderón de la Barca

Last Thursday, Dr. Aponte-Olivieri "Survey of the Literature of Spain" class dramatized a number of selected scenes from Calderón de la Barca's play "La vida es sueño". Our students fully embraced the joys and challenges of interpreting -- critically and dramatically-- this Baroque text in all of its richness and complexity.
