Language and Culture Assistants Program in Spain

The Education Office of the Consulate General of Spain in New York is pleased to contact you regarding the Language and Culture Assistants Program sponsored by the Spanish Ministry of Education.

There will be more than 4,000 positions available all over Spain for university graduates or undergraduate students who have completed at least two full years of college. The positions are offered in the public school system for school year 2019-2020. Applications are completely free and are submitted online.

Language Assistants will get a monthly allowance of 700€-1,000€ and will also be provided with medical insurance. The duration of the program is eight months: from October 2019 to May 2020. Positions will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis among eligible candidates, provided they submit a complete and valid application.

Language Assistants will work in close connection with experienced Spanish teachers and will be expected to collaborate mostly in teaching English oral skills. They will have the opportunity to learn about Spanish language and culture and use their experience upon their return to the United States, thus helping to develop cultural understanding between the citizens of Spain and the United States of America.

The application period will end on April 10th, 2019

We would be very grateful if you could inform potential candidates of this opportunity.
